Portals

Hooooooooooboy. Where to start with this.
First off, I didn't get around to play ether of the Portal games until they'd been out for quite awhile. It was only after my sister got both 1 and 2 did I take the time to actually play them. I beat the first one no problem at all, it was a fun, cute little thing, but I didn't really think much of it. Portal 2 is the one that really got me. At first it wouldn't work on my computer because this things old as crap, so in the mean time, I made the horrible mistake of COMPLETELY spoiling the game for myself. The ending, Wheatleys betrayal, space, and all that. So once I did get around to playing the game, it didn't surprise me as much. BUT, by spoiling the whole game, I also exposed myself to TONS of Wheatley and Chell sadart. Although I may not have had the shock value for Wheatleys turn, I still felt like my soul had been crushed, especially with the wonderful song that went with it. After that going though Old Aperture and hearing Exile Vilify, it really made me realize how deep the game was, and lonely all of Aperture had become. It. Was. Awesome.

So I went along, running through the desolate, lonely, empty rooms of Aperture. The comical voice of Cave Johnson actually made it feel more lonely, in my opinion, although the guy was hilarious. But then, oooh then, you meet up with POTaDOS and Wheatley. Sheesh that was just heartbreaking when Wheatley was doing the testing. All of that friendship, BOOM, gone. And you reach the boss fight. You don't want to fight Wheatley. You really don't. But you have to. And then, you destroy him. Shoot him into space. By the end of the fight, I was so mad, I wanted him gone.... then he called back. "CATCHMECATCHMEcatchme...!" That right there changes your mind and you suddenly feel like a horrible person. Like if you had caught him, you could have gone back to being friends... Then everythings gone. Including you. GLaDOS says she finally letting you go to the surface. Well, alright, I guess that's good. You get into the elevator, and then, somehow, I didn't spoil this for myself: The turrets show up. First thoughts, "GLaDOS you little lia-" And thus we reach the end. The turret opera. That is the most wonderful thing I've ever seen in gaming. Suddenly I didn't wanna leave Aperture. I wanted to stay and test for eternity. But I had to leave, and there was nothing I could do, but sit, and watch the turrets sing.

After it was all over, I realized, the game had a horrible ending. Wheatley was exiled to space, and Chell, you, was alone in a world she never knew, with nothing but a cube. Thus this picture.

As for the technical side, this picture took forever to do :T Mostly because I had to do the lineart twice, the second time by hand. But I think it turned out pretty nice.
